I am honoured to hold the position of President of The Transportation Club of Hamilton. I welcome all new members to our organization and extend an open invitation to participate and enjoy our upcoming events.

Myself as President and your Board of Directors are listening to our members. As of April, our luncheons are moving to The Waterfront Centre located at the Hamilton Yacht Club. David Bradley will be the guest speaker on April 2, 2008. Our goal is for all our members to receive the benefit of educational luncheons offered at a new cost effective price. We will continue to listen to all our members' suggestions and look forward to hearing from you often.

On tap for this year we kick off with our Spring Golf Tournament at the prestigious Rattle Snake Point on May 29th. Come join us for a lovely evening of dining at the picturesque Liuna Gardens in Winona for Lobsterfest on June 26th. We roll into the hills of Heron Point for our fall golf tournament on Sept 18th. The big finish our Annual Dinner on November 13th. Don't forget our educational luncheon on October 9th and our festive Christmas buffet on December 11th.

2008 is proving to be a challenging year in the Transportation Industry. My vision is to blend our strong history and develop new exciting initiatives as our Club moves forward. It is a testament to the strength of this Club that we have attracted several new members from all sectors of the Transportation Industry and maintained a solid base stretching many decades. We are currently giving the website a new look and user friendly. A change is coming to "Ask George" who has now taken on the role of Club Ambassador and he will be available to provide anecdotes and information about the history of our Club.

On behalf of the Executive committee and myself we would like to thank all the members of the Transportation Club of Hamilton, for your continued support. In addition a big thank you to the Board of Directors for all the time and effort they contribute to organize our events throughout the year.

A special thank you to all the Companies who help sponsor our events. We count on our sponsors' support, which make our events both rewarding for the participants and financially successful. And equally our sponsors gain increased personal or corporate exposure through involvement at individual events.
